A completed event yesterday
Use the simple past (aorist) to tell a completed event: (I saw), (I went), (I played). It is different from , which describes what I was doing or used to do.
Many verbs have , , , , , : , , . Several everyday verbs change their stem; learn տեսնել → տեսա, գնալ → գնացի.
The negative attaches to the completed verb: , , . You do not put before this tense. clearly places the event yesterday.
Երեկ ես տեսա Մռուին։Yesterday I saw Mrru.
Արամը երեկ նվագեց։Aram played yesterday.
Ես ոչինչ չտեսա։I saw nothing.
