Reading tips

Read the whole chat first. ։ ends a sentence, a comma pauses, ՞ asks a question and ՜ exclaims.

Nina and Ani know each other, so they use դու (informal you). With an unfamiliar adult, you will meet polite դուք (you) and եք (are). Read these common forms as whole words for now.

Տանն եմ means “I am at home”. Compare տուն, տունը, տունն է and տանն եմ. You can recognise the familiar letters while the regular course explains the grammar.
