Unit 29 · A greeting and a useful request · Meet

A greeting and a useful request

Prepare a simple first meeting and request for Bulgarian A1.

About this unit

Three useful lines to start Bulgarian A1: a greeting, your name and a polite request.

  • Добър ден! is the everyday greeting during the day.
  • Аз съм … introduces you: “I am …”.
  • Add моля to a request to make it polite.

Tap a card and listen. Try saying it too.

Use a Bulgarian keyboard

Bulgarian has a standard BDS layout and widely used phonetic layouts. Either is optional: the guided course has on-screen tiles. Keep ъ and ь separate. Teaching acute accents may be omitted in input; the grave in ѝ belongs to the word and is not a removable stress hint.
