Good morning! Oh, number 7! You're here again.
LanaDobro jutro, gospodine Petre! Ribu, molim. Za Mikija.
Good morning, Mr Petar! I'd like some fish, please. For Miki.
PetarZa Mikija? Naravno. Njegov račun je već vrlo dug.
For Miki? Of course. His bill is very long already.
Gospodine Petre, poznajete li Mikija dugo?
Mr Petar, have you known Miki long?

Mr Petar, have you known Miki long?
PetarVrlo dugo. Još od malog mačića.
A very long time. I've known him since he was a tiny kitten.

LanaMalog? Miki je bio mali?
Tiny? Miki was tiny?
PetarDa. Davno je došao ovdje, na tržnicu, jednog hladnog jutra.
Yes. Many years ago, one cold morning, he came here, to the market.

PetarBio je mokar i gladan. I mali kao moja ruka.
He was wet and hungry. And as small as my hand.
A što ste Vi učinili?
And what did you do?

And what did you do?
PetarDao sam mu ribu. Tako je počeo njegov račun!
I gave him some fish. And that's how his bill started!
LanaA zašto mu je uho takvo?
And why is his ear like that?
PetarNa tržnici je bio veliki pas. Ugrizao je mačića za uho.
There was a big dog at the market. The dog bit the kitten's ear.
PetarOd tada Miki ne voli pse.
Since then Miki hasn't liked dogs.
Karim from the corner shop comes over with a box of apples.
KarimDobro jutro! Govorite o Mikiju? I ja sam bio tamo.
Good morning! Are you talking about Miki? I was there too.
KarimLjudi su mu davali ribu i mlijeko. Ali nisu znali čiji je.
People gave him fish and milk, but they didn't know whose he was.
LanaI ostao je na tržnici?
And did he stay at the market?
KarimNije. Volio nas je, ali tražio je dom. Pravi dom.
No. He liked us, but he was looking for a home. A real home.
KarimIšao je za mnom s tržnice, kroz cijeli grad.
He followed me from the market, right across town.

KarimGledao je svaku kuću. Ne tu. Ne tu. Ne tu.
He looked at every house. Not that one. Not that one. Not that one.
KarimZatim je vidio kuću sa zelenim vratima.
Then he saw a house with a green door.
LanaBroj sedam!

LanaNije loš. Samo voli taj ključ!
He isn't bad. He just loves that key!
LanaAko ovdje ostaneš deset godina, uzet će ti deset ključeva!
If you stay here for ten years, he'll take ten of your keys!
