About this unit
Everyday signs may use ordinary letters or Mtavruli. Read the whole sign before you listen.
- Compare the start of long words: შეს… leads in, გას… leads out.
- Mtavruli does not change the pronunciation.
- The icon on a sign is a hint; the word gives the answer.

Use a Georgian keyboard
The guided course has on-screen letters in logical order. A Georgian keyboard, often with a phonetic Latin-key mapping, is optional. Names and sentences use ordinary Mkhedruli, not a capital first letter. Mtavruli is an all-capital style for whole headings.
