Who does what? With personal pronouns and present-tense verb conjugation, you talk about yourself and others — from regular verbs like kommen to irregular ones like sprechen or fahren .

In the present tense ,ending that matches the personal pronoun (I, you, he/she/it … ).
Most verbs are regular :verb stem (e.g. spiel- ) and add the ending — -e ,-st ,-t :ich spiele ,du spielst ,er spielt .
Warning
Some common verbs are irregular .du and er/sie/es forms, the stem vowel changes: sprechen → du sprichst ,er spricht (e→i); fahren → du fährst ,er fährt (a→ä).
