Possessive articles

With possessive articles you say who something belongs to (my, your, his …). Each person has a possessive article: ich → mein, du → dein, er → sein, sie → ihr, wir → unser, ihr → euer, sie/Sie → ihr/Ihr.

In the nominative, the ending depends on the noun:

1. der- and das-words: no ending — mein Vater, mein Kind.
2. die-words and plural: ending -e — meine Mutter, meine Eltern.
