The Key
Der Schlüssel
Felix can't open his apartment door. Where is the key? A simple story for German beginners.

Felix kommt nach Hause. Er sucht seinen Schlüssel. Der Schlüssel ist nicht in der Tasche. Felix sucht in der Jacke. Der Schlüssel ist auch nicht in der Jacke.
Felix bekommt Panik. Er denkt: Wo ist der Schlüssel? Vielleicht liegt er vor der Tür? Felix sieht auf den Boden. Da sind nur Steine. Kein Schlüssel. Felix sucht weiter. Er geht in den Garten. Vielleicht liegt der Schlüssel im Gras?
Felix findet den Schlüssel nicht. Er hat Hunger und ist müde. Was soll er tun? Felix hat eine Idee. Er geht zu seiner Nachbarin Frau Meyer. Sie öffnet die Tür. „Guten Tag, Felix!“, sagt sie. Felix sieht traurig aus. Frau Meyer fragt: „Was ist los?“ Felix antwortet: „Ich habe meinen Schlüssel verloren.“
