There was a big dog. It bit his ear. That is why he does not like dogs.
करीम सेब का डिब्बा लेकर आते हैं।
Karim comes over with a box of apples.
करीममोती की बात? मैं भी वहाँ था। सबने मछली और दूध दिया। किसी को नहीं पता था, किसका बिल्ला है।
Talking about Moti? I was there too. Everyone gave fish and milk. Nobody knew whose cat he was.

No. He was looking for a home. He followed me. He looked at every house. Then a green door.

हाँ। सीढ़ियों पर बैठा। इंतज़ार किया।
Yes. He sat on the steps. He waited.
दोपहर में सब आँगन में हैं। कमला सुनती हैं।
In the afternoon everyone is in the courtyard. Kamala listens.
कमलाहाँ। मुझे सब पता है। मैं वहाँ थी। शाम को बारिश हुई। मैंने दरवाज़ा खोला। सीढ़ियों पर छोटा स्लेटी बिल्ला था।
Yes. I know everything. I was there. In the evening it rained. I opened the door. There was a little grey cat on the steps.
