영자
지훈 씨를 오래 알아요. 그때 열 살이었어요.
I have known Jihun a long time. He was ten then.

Have you seen the photo? The window and trumpet.
지우
네! 머리가 정말 이상했어요!
Yes! His hair was really funny!

최 선생님이 줬어요. 작고 오래됐어요.
Ms Choi gave it to him. It was small and old.
지우
할머니 트럼펫이요?
Grandma’s trumpet?
영자
네. 왜 있었어요? 저는 몰라요. 선생님은 모두 알아요.
Yes. Why did she have it? I do not know. She knows everything.
영자
매일 제 창문 아래에서 연주했어요.
He played under my window every day.
영자
처음에는 못했어요. 아주 크게 불었어요!
At first he could not play well. He played very loudly!

무대 앞에 있었어요. 우산도 있었어요.
She was in front of the stage. She had an umbrella too.

지훈 씨는 다시 연주했어요. 같은 노래였어요. 정말 좋았어요.
Jihun played again. It was the same song. It was really good.

비는 안 왔어요. 사람들이 다시 왔어요.
The rain stopped. People came back.
영자
모두 들었어요. 그다음에 모두 노래했어요.
Everyone listened. Then everyone sang.

사장님도 노래했어요?
Did you sing too?
영자
그럼요! 최 선생님도 노래했어요.
Of course! Ms Choi sang too.

늦게 왔어요. 하지만 마지막 노래는 들었어요.
They came late. But they heard the last song.

그다음에 큰 트럼펫을 샀어요. 지훈 씨 선물이었어요.
Then they bought a big trumpet. It was a present for Jihun.

작은 트럼펫은요?
And the small trumpet?
영자
최 선생님 집이에요. 지금도 있어요? 누가 알아요?
At Ms Choi’s home. Is it still there? Who knows?
지우
할머니는 알아요! 모두 알아요!
Grandma knows! She knows everything!
