Choosing a home: present, past and plans

The final scene combines the whole course: 여기에 살아요 states the current home, 여기에 살았어요 recalls living here, and 여기에 살 거예요 gives the plan. Time words and the final ending make the meaning clear.

결정했어요 says I decided. 안 갈 거예요 is a negative future plan, while 못 갔어요 reports past inability. Keep both the negative meaning and the time in mind.

Korean can omit a repeated subject, but a name or 저는 can make a contrast clear. Polite 요 endings are still appropriate between these friendly adults. The course does not require formal written style, reported speech or extended relative clauses.

• 어제 결정했어요.I decided yesterday.
