He puts the phone down and looks at the trumpet for a long time.

Muris is asleep. He's the boss here. He doesn't need a job.
A knock. Two friends come in: Dāvis with a double bass in a big case, and Ieva with a small drum under her arm.
Kāds atver durvis. Tie ir Jāņa draugi Dāvis un Ieva.
Somebody opens the door. It's Dāvis and Ieva, Jānis's friends.

Sveiks, Jāni! Mēs esam te!
Hi, Jānis! We're here!
- Jānis
Sveiki! Ienāciet! Vai esat izsalkuši?
Hi! Come in! Are you hungry?

Jā, ļoti. Bet tagad mūzika!

Jānis, Dāvis un Ieva ir grupa. Viņi spēlē vakarā un naktī.
