Unit 27 · nepali digits · Meet

nepali digits

Read Devanagari digits used in everyday Nepal.

About this unit

Prices, dates and notices in Nepal often use Devanagari digits. They work exactly like 0–9.

  • Read a number left to right: १० is 10, २५ is 25.
  • ४ is 4, even though it looks like an 8. The 8 is ८.
  • रु in front of a number means Nepali rupees: रु ५० is 50 rupees.
