Weather and yesterday
Thai weather sentences are often very short. means “it rains / it is raining,” and means “the weather is hot.” Thai does not change the verb for tense.
To show past time, Thai usually adds a time word such as . For example, means “Yesterday it rained.” The form of does not change.
Thai also uses short time expressions naturally: , , . The time word shows when.
For negatives, put before the adjective or weather expression: , . Thai does not need a special past verb ending.
