Ordering food and asking for the bill

To ask the price, use เท่าไร. For example, กาแฟเท่าไร.

Prices in this course use บาท. Say the number before บาท: สามสิบบาท, ห้าสิบบาท, หนึ่งร้อยบาท.

This module also introduces numbers from สิบเอ็ด up to หนึ่งร้อย.

For food requests, ไม่ใส่น้ำตาล means “without sugar”. For a total, Thai often uses รวม...บาท.

• กาแฟ เท่าไรHow much is the coffee?

• ชา สามสิบบาทTea is 30 baht.

• ขนมปัง ยี่สิบบาทA roll is 20 baht.

• ชา ไม่ใส่น้ำตาลtea without sugar

• ชากับขนมปัง ห้าสิบบาทTea and a roll are 50 baht.

• รวม แปดสิบบาทTotal: 80 baht.

• นี่ หนึ่งร้อยบาทHere is 100 baht.

• เงินทอน ยี่สิบบาทChange: 20 baht.
