Reading tips

Read the short exchange. This mission introduces the meanings you need; the A1 course will develop its grammar. Both speakers use feminine polite particles: คะ in a question and ค่ะ in statements and replies. They have different tones and spellings.

สวัสดี and ขอบคุณ are familiar multi-syllable expressions. Their unwritten vowels and leading-letter spellings are not simple letter-by-letter guesses. Use the complete word recordings. ไม่ใส่ค่ะ is a natural reply to the question about sugar.
